First you dont need to cut your hair in order to get rid of lice. It also wont help at all unless you shave your head and I am sure you dont want to do that sincce you have pretty long thick hair like me.
First you need to use a preventative hair care products that will help prevent you from getting lice. The best products that I found are made from Fairy Tales Hair Care, Inc. They have the Rosemary Repel line with Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave in Conditioning Spray, gel, and hair spray. There products are so amazing that I even use it on myself since I got headlice from my children who got it from school. Our whole family got infected which is why I remain true to these products. The leave in conditioning spray can be sprayed not just in your hair but any material thing like coats, clothing, bedding, directly on the skin as a bug repellent, etc. I swear by there products and my children have remained lice free even through several outbreaks in their school. Go to www.fairytaleshaircare.com.

Oh and one more thing...done wash your hair everday...lice like clean hair. Every two to three days is more than enough. If there is an outbreak, I would put your hair up in a ponytail, braid it, or put it in a bun. Use the Rosemary Repel hair spray to finish it off, it will seal off your hair so nothing goes in, like lice!! Also, be one LICE ALERT for atleast two weeks nits or eggs hatch every 7 to 10 days so you may have eggs that havent hatched yet, those are the hardest to get rid of. If you do end up having lice use Lice Goodbye from Fairy Tales, its non-toxic, no harmful chemicals like Rid!! Hope this helps :)

Well, that is the key to contact with people who are less pshycial lice, talk. They can be very simple if you have a lot of time with people. Also not to share combs, hats or caps with infected persons. It is crucial that lice like clean hair, thick, it is easier for them to move. You'd better give your hair a break and wash it every two days.
Comb your hair with a fine microscope
dry hair with a hairdryer
Comb and brush regularly - Lice Shampoo hurts!
Wash towels, hats, hair bands, brushes and combs
Tie long hair at any time or be cut.

who said to ignore lice are attracted to clean hair. like all the hair as long as its attatched to a point where Tey can suck the blood.

They will be wearing your hair, tie it in a ponytail or braid / braids are better, and sprayed with a solution of water and tea tree or lavender oil each morning about some of the tea tree / lavender three parts water. I hate lice and it smells nice and feels better than vinegar, but it also works well.

Just snacks and get his mother to check her hair every two days, they should be rid of you as soon as possible if you do not want to go, and add to the spread of these people!

ugh, I feel itchy, I think of it ...

I went through the same thing with my daughter. This is what your hairdresser, "he said. You may use clean hair, the styling products. Add also a capful of Lysol Hospital from strength to your shampoo. Good luck, hope this helps I know how terrible it be can, as a mother who fought.

I've heard that lice do not like the smell of lavender and wash everything that is possible (clothing, bedding, stuffed animals, etc.) to use laundry soap, lavender and a soothing lavender.

Whatever you do, wash your hair with 24.7! Lice are more attracted to the hair clean. Many people think the opposite. Try to avoid anything that relates to the use of personal care products with friends UR. They found their hair every night.
