Hooking A Wii To A Denon Receiver Is There An Solution To User Computer As A/V Reciever?

Is there an solution to user computer as A/V reciever? - hooking a wii to a denon receiver

Now we have a Denon A / V, and does the job, but we are tired of the UI HORRIBLE. We have a speaker setup Nice around our room to be connected to a projector, and we have a player, Wii, DVD, equipment and inputs. I wonder whether we can use the A / V receivers to break and have some kind of hardware connection on the PC and use, and some software, it would be much simpler than the Denon A / V, we are in control.

Need a receiver for the speakers and take the optical performance of the 5.1 decoding. You can build a HTPC, but are necessary to feed the Denon.

What is "User interface"? Yes, they are terrible, but once you set things to use - really just to go different inputs.

Taking over a universal remote control Logitech Harmony may be a good deal of complexity. A button - fire up a DVD. Press another button and any changes to be seen to cable. This may be all you need in order to facilitate their cooperation.
