Best AFFORDABLE A/V receiver or HDMI HTIB for use with PS3? - affordable htib

I have a PS3 for Christmas 2007 and love it. I like the Blu-Ray and games and internet access. I caught a 47 inch Vizio HD LCD TV a few months later, I slowly build my home theater with the specifications. But one day, an A / V The Panasonic home theater, I am not an optical input / output, or HDMI inputs, which sucks, so I really need to update it. I surround sound from regular DVDs on the Panasonic home theater, but no luck with the PS3 because the HDMI connection is only in my TV. My question is, can you recommend a good and cheap HTIB surround sound with HDMI or economic / V HDMI? Also, I read a lot about the HDMI pass-through and "true" HDMI ... Can someone explain?Looking up for around $ 200 - $ 400.

Onkyo TX-SR605 is less than $ 400 has HDMI 1.3, any video or audio signal. Video Sounds great, great, Upconvert any video source to HDMI --
I have Onkyo second proposal. They packed plenty of features in sub $ 500 receiver.
